Social equality - Differentiated tuition scholarship

This scholarship will be granted depending on students’ socioeconomic situation and according to the quintile they are in. It is aimed at students of undergraduate programs that take differential tuition into account. There is no need to renew this scholarship, students are granted the scholarship once they start the university until they finish.   


Scholarship for best high school graduate 

This scholarship acknowledges the effort and academic achievements of high school students. It is aimed at high school students who were the best of their graduating class. 

To apply for this scholarship, students must comply with the following requirements:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • A colored copy of student's ID
  • Notorized copy of certificate that states you were the best high school graduate

The university reserves the right to ask for further documentation if it deems necessary.


Scholarship for students' academic achievement 

This scholarship acknowledges the effort of students who have the best academic performance within their undergraduate program, no matter the campus or mode of study.


Requirements:


  • Have the highest grade point average in the undergraduate program in the previous semester (95 / 100 or higher).
  • Have taken 100% of the credits (subjects or courses) that correspond to the previous semester, according to the curriculum, and have passed them all.
  • Have no academic and / or administrative sanctions 

Once the student wellbeing department contacts the student, he/she must:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of student's ID
  • Submit a certificate from the director of your undergraduate program that states you are the best student 

The university reserves the right to ask for further documentation if it deems necessary.


Scholarship for students with disabilities 

This scholarship is part of the university’s inclusion policy; it is aimed at students with different types and levels of disabilities.


To apply for this scholarship for the first time, students must comply with the following requirements:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of student's ID
  • Notarized copy of certificate issued by CONADIS or the Ministry of Public Health 

The university reserves the right to ask for further documentation if it deems necessary.


Sports scholarship

This scholarship acknowledges the effort and good results obtained by students (including freshmen) in sports. The results will be qualified according championships, medals, trophies, recognitions or other acknowledgements obtained by students who have represented the country at international events, not necessarily events related to the university. 

Requirements:


  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of student's ID
  • Notarized copy of the certificate issued by the corresponding national sports organization which states the results obtained by the student in a competition.

The university reserves the right to ask for further documentation if it deems necessary.


Work related Scholarship

This scholarship is aimed at workers of Universidad Politecnica Salesiana with an indefinite contract, their legally recognized children and spouse. 


Requirements:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of student's and worker's ID
  • Certificate issued by the human resources department which states the worker has been employed for over one year and has an indefinite contract

The university reserves the right to ask for further documentation if it deems necessary.


Scholarship for alumni of Salesian institutions 

This scholarship is granted to former students of salesian institutions who wish to study at Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS).

Requirements:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of student's ID
  • Notarized copy  of high school diploma or a certificate issued by the high school which states the date the student graduated.

The university reserves the right to ask for further documentation if it deems necessary.


“Social” Scholarship

This scholarship is aimed at students who belong to priority groups, vulnerable sectors, ethnic groups, for gender equality, Ecuadorian citizens who are abroad, deported migrants as long as they prove certain academic performance levels regulated by the university.


To be granted this scholarship, there must be agreements signed between the university and organizations that support higher education. To maintain this scholarship, beneficiaries must comply with the conditions set in the agreement. 


"Family" Scholarship 

This scholarship is an act of reciprocity for families who have preferred salesian education. It is granted only when two or more members of the same family group (brothers, spouse, parents, children) are studying an undergraduate program at Universidad Politecnica Salesiana at the same time. The family situation can be verified by the student wellbeing department by visiting the family’s home or through legal documents. 


Requirements:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of all applicants' ID

Family relationships must be justified with legal documents that demonstrate the applicants belong to the same family group

Scholarship for UPS alumni's children

This scholarship is granted to children of former undergraduate or postgraduate students. It is an act of reciprocity for former students who have preferred salesian education for their children.


Requirements:

  • Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  • Submit a colored copy of student's ID
  • Submit a colored copy of UPS alumni
  • Copy of the degree awarded by the university to the graduate


Scholarship for UPS alumni 

This scholarship is awarded to UPS undergraduate or postgraduate alumni and applies only to study undergraduate programs.

Requirements:

  1. Fill in online request addressed to the director of the Student Wellbeing Department through the university’s internal requests system located in the university’s website
  2. Submit a colored copy of student's ID
  3. Copy of alumni's degree issued by Senescyt
